The Setup page in the players' section is where we have a view of all the players that are added to your SpinetiX ARYA account. Here, you can add, rename and remove players to your account. You can also see your player information in this page as well as set/change the orientation of the screen, the resolution of the display and set the screen on feature.

This article will give you all the information you need about the setup page and show you all its features.

 

Adding a player

  1. On the setup page, click on the ADD PLAYER button on the right.

  2. Enter the serial number displayed on your screen, then click Next.

  3. Enter the 4-digit PIN number that will show up on your screen, then click Next.

  4. Give your player a name, for example “Lobby”, then click NEXT.

  5. Choose the screen orientation and resolution of your display, then click Finish.

Tip: You can set different time zones for each of your player. This is especially useful if you have a global deployment with players located at different geographical locations in different time zones.

After you set the time zone, the player will be visible from the Players page with the name that you’ve given it during the Add Player process. A green check mark will also be visible above the player to let you know that the player is ready to use.

In parallel, the display also shows a message telling you that the player is ready.

Renaming and Removing a player

To Rename a player, simply double-click on its name, start typing and hit Enter on your keyboard once you are done.

To Remove a player from your account, select the desired player and click on the X button on the top right while it is selected.

Updating the Player firmware

If you wish to update your player's firmware, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the desired player.
  2. Change any setting on the player (e.g., select an audio source).
  3. Click on Save.

    The player will then reboot and it will check for available updates and install them. please take note, that the changes made to the settings will also be applied, do not forget to set them back if needed.

On the Player Setup page, you can also see the status of your players.

You will typically see:

A Green checkmark: Indicating the player is online.

A Red exclamation point: Indicating the player is offline.

An Orange checkmark: Indicating the player is in Slow sync mode.
An Orange exclamation mark: Indicating the player is in Firmware Update mode.

Status icons: online, offline, slow sync, update

Slow sync means that the MQTT port is blocked, and the player will work in a degraded mode, where each update or request to the player from ARYA is delayed by several minutes. To learn more about Slow sync and how to troubleshoot, click here.

 

Player Information

If you wish to see your player information, simply click on the respective player. Your player configuration will appear on the right.

    Audio enable toggle
    By default, the audio feature of the player is deactivated. If your project features audio and you want to enable it, simply click this option and select the appropriate audio source.

    Tags configuration
    You can assign Tags to your player, to use Smart Sync to assign a player to a specific user or group of users, as well as to assign your player to a group of players.
  • Screen On
    Screen ON scheduler
    The Screen ON feature is very helpful feature to reduce your energy consumption. Enabling this feature allows you to have your screen powered up only during a time range you specify and powered off otherwise.
