How to manage user access

This article demonstrates how as an account administrator, you can manage user access. It also summarizes the different types of user access available.

A user's access is based on one or a combination of tasks relating to the individual sections of SpinetiX ARYA such as Create, Schedule, Players, and Alerts except for Modify which is a more limited access to the Create section.

Note: The icons for user access on the User Admin page are smaller versions of the icons of each section of SpinetiX ARYA except for the Modify icon which relates to a limited version of access to the Create section.

In addition to basing a user's access on the tasks they will perform, an Administrator can further limit a user's access to Players' Schedules and/or Content groups as defined by their tags.

Managing User Access based on Tasks

1. Log in to SpinetiX ARYA and click on the Users management button on the top left.
   
2. Select User Managment
   
3. You will now see a list of users associated with your account.

4. To grant access, simply click on a desired access type represented by the icon that is not yet assigned to the user. To limit access, click again the desired access type already assigned to the user.

Types of User Access

The following table details each type of access which can be granted to a user.

Limit Access to Players' Schedules and/or Content groups as defined by their tags

SpinetiX ARYA ENTERPRISE  account administrators can  limit a users access to Players' schedules and/or Content groups as defined by their tags. To do this, the administrator can apply the tag of choice to the user in question.

To apply a tag on a user simply drag and drop the tag from the top to the desired user.

• Tagged users having either the CREATE or MODIFY access can only make actions on the content that bears the same tag(s).
  
  
  Important: Restrictions applied by tags do not affect user-authored content retroactively. For instance, if User A was not initially restricted by a tag and a restriction is added later, all content previously uploaded or created by User A will remain accessible.
  
  
  
• In the same logic, tagged users with the SCHEDULE access have access to only the Schedule of the players bearing the same tag(s).

Note: If you associate a tag with a Style Pack, any user with Create or Modify permissions to whom the same tag is applied will be able to access the Templates page and see the tagged style(s).
